Bellìssima Beauty
Our story
Our story
Hello! I’m Georgia. The Founder of Bellìssima Beauty. Let’s delve into the journey that led us here and how Bellìssima Beauty came to be.
I was born with a facial cavernous hemangioma, a birth defect that had no cure in 2002. It grew rapidly, making me stand out from others. Naturally, as a child, I felt very shy and self conscious realising I looked different. I eventually had surgery to remove it, which left behind a unique scar on my cheek.
Growing up, I faced my fair share of stares and questions about my scar, which at times, would knock my confidence. Over time, I learned to embrace my story. I realised that my experiences, scar included, have helped shape me into who I am today. Remarkably, my tissue helped advance medical research, leading to a cure for hemangiomas!
My love with beauty began when I received a kids makeup kit for my 8th birthday. I enjoyed not only dolling up myself but also making others feel beautiful. That passion led me to pursue a career in beauty therapy.
At 13, I had my heart set on attending Elite School Of Beauty, and at 17, I did just that. In 2020, while I was studying, I began my first part-time job in the beauty industry. By early 2021, I proudly earned my New Zealand makeup artistry qualification, NZ beauty certificate, and full diploma in beauty therapy.
In my time in the beauty industry, I’ve come to realise that we all have our insecurities, but it’s those imperfections that make us truly beautiful and unique. I believe If we all looked the same the world would be a very boring place. I love being able to help people feel their best and watch their confidence blossom on their self-love journey.
Bellìssima, which means beautiful, embodies my belief of encouraging everyone to fall in love with their own beauty. So come along and join me on this journey of self-love, let’s embrace and celebrate our beauty together.
Remember, You are Bellìssima.
Lots of love, Georgia x
